The RES Reading Challenge Olympics has ended. Students did lots of reading. Congratulations to the students in this class. Four students received 6 medals, one student received 5 medals, five students received 4 medals, one student received 3 medals, one student received 2 medals and one student received 1 student. Our class read a total of 9,375 pages during this event. Congratulations to Layne for reading the highest number of pages in the class - 2,070! Great work everyone!

- We read about the live cycle of frogs.
- Our seeds, which had sprouted were transplanted into soil. They are growing nicely in our classroom greenhouse.
- Children identified text features in a Seesaw activity.
- On Wednesday, we made obleck with out Kindergarten Buddies after sharing a Dr. Seuss book.
- Thursday we began our next round of Interventions.
- Mrs. Stone visited us in the afternoon for a guidance lesson. Our final lesson will be on Monday.
- We used a Venn diagram to compare and contrast frogs and toads.
- We continue to work on our opinion pieces in writing.
- Friday we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by reading a Scholastic News about his books followed by a main idea and detail graphic organizer and a book scavenger hunt.
