My apologies for the late posting. It has been a whirlwind the past two weeks!
- On the 23rd, Dr. Bizier came in to help the children with a crystal growing project. The QR code was sent home so you too, could watch the daily progress as our crystal grows. Here's the link in case you misplaced it...https://padlet.com/apelletier/ki62wgyroxi1
- Children have also been introduced to a digital portfolio called SeeSaw. We are going through some introductory lessons that have allowed the children to practice some of the features. The goal is for them to post evidence of their learning as the year progresses.
- The character trait theme for the month of October was Empathy. On Friday the 27th, we read a story, discussed what empathy means and did a little activity about birth order - coming up with pros and cons of being the youngest, oldest or middle child.
- That week was followed by a two day week because of the storm and power outages.
- Children were excited to be back in school on Thursday and all were eager to share something about the storm.
- The following day, all children shared about Halloween.
- We continue to work on publishing our narrative stories with the hope of having a celebration with our Kindergarten Reading Buddies on Wednesday.
- We had a Bus Safety lesson with 2 of our bus drivers on Thursday. It is so important that the children follow these safety procedures.
- There will be no school Friday, November 10th in observance of Veteran's Day.
